Part 4- Final Additions.

I decided I wanted to have a shutter release on the body of the camera. I took an old Kodak cable release from an Autographic, and mounted it through an existing hole in the body. Roughed up the metal part and epoxied in the hole. The other end was epoxied to the lens standard with a small block of wood. It is lined up to push on the shutter's release arm.
I then cut out the extra material on the the Polaroid camera front, to fit around the new lens assembly. Attaching a suitable name plate in the process. :)
The camera folds up into a very compact unit. It only weighs 32 ounces with the film holder in place. The RF unit operates from a little less than 5 feet to infinity.
The final touches will be, tweaking the RF adjustment and a little painting.
With a few extra pre-loaded film holders, this will make for a fast, handy RF camera.

Dave, now that's a heavy weapon you have there now ! A 4x5 handheld RF and if that wasn't enough, a folding one !
I said it many times, but let me add one more, you have an incredible talent to turn your ideas into real WORKING machines !
Now I only hope the weather will keep nice there and you'll have both good material outside and also to use for your studio shots.
As always, you left me amazed ! :)
Bravo! Again! :-)
Hallo I absolutely adore your site. You have beautiful graphics I have ever seen.

Fabulous work. I have been playing with the same idea for a while but couldn't quite figure out the logistics. I ended up with three or four Polaroids of different qualities to play with.
I can't wait to see the images.
Dave you are one "wild and crazy guy!" I'm loving this stuff. I have a friend who builds bamboo rods. He takes all the parts left over and makes "Frankenstein rods" Must be something in the water... LoL!
keep on doing it!
cheers, Jan
Great stuff again. I look forward to seeing the results.
Not quite pocket sized, especially with the film holders!
